One of the key values that Zentiva tries to fulfil over the long term is a responsible approach to environmental protection and work health and safety. Zentiva behaves in this way because it is fully aware of the negative effects that the dangerous substances that it handles in its production plants or the waste that occurs as a result could have on the environment and employees’ health. It goes without saying that the Environment and Occupational Safety and Health Policy (the wording of which is given below) is being carried out in all three of the company’s production factories - in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania. Naturally workers are constantly being trained and educated and there is systematic monitoring of whether the company’s processes support this policy to the maximum degree. Since 2000 an environmental management system has been introduced in Zentiva, certified by the international certification company Det Norske Veritas (DNV) according to standard ISO 14 001 (a copy of the current certificate is given below). In 2005 the company also introduced a occupational health and safety management system in accordance with standard OHSAS 18 001. This system is also certified by DNV (a copy of the certificate is given below). Supplements:
